For some of you asking me how do I paint my Imperial Fists faces, here we go.

I use rather old set of GW colours:

Dwarf Flesh, Elf Flesh, Bleached Bone, Skull White and some shades and wash: Agrax Earthshade and Baal Red.

How to paint Imperial Fists

First of all I use Dwarf Flesh with milk consistency. Do not worry if this colour not cover smoothly, remember: always is better to do 3-4 smooth layers than 1 rough and ugly.

2 or 3 layers of watered down Dwarf Flesh

When this layer is dry I go for a little bit of Agrax Earthshade:

Looks a little bit rough and nasty, time to blend it a little with watered down layer of Dwarf Flesh again:

Face looks a little bit flat still, change this with touch of Elf Flesh. Keep your paint like milk, I stroke my brush few times on sheet of paper to get rid of excessive paint and be sure nothing will spill off brush tip into recesses. After that is done go for Bleached Bone to get a little bit more of 3D on the face:

When that is done I do final touch with Skull White just to get face lines stronger. A little bit of Baal Red wash to make some service studs stand out, paint haircut and done:
